LIVINGSTON – Former University of West Alabama Women’s Golfer Savannah Payne was honored by the Gulf South Conference with her selection to the GSC Women’s Golf Team of the Decade.
Payne received a second team nod and was one of 12 to be named to the Team of the Decade.
The native of Leeds, Alabama earned All-GSC honors all four years as a Tiger and played her way onto the GSC All-Tournament team in 2015 and 2016.
She claimed a first-place finish at the JSU Tiger Classic in 2017, which helped her win GSC Golf of the Month, and had 10 finishes 10th or higher in her final two seasons. Payne tied for 10th in low total score to par in GSC Tournament at +7 in 2016 as well as low second round of 71 (-1) in 2016.
Paloma Vaccaro was named Golfer of the Decade and Bryan Clarke was named Coach of the Decade with both representing West Florida.
