<div><strong>BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss.</strong> &#8211; Trey Petty and Devin Merriweather combined for more than two-thirds of Stillman College&#8217;s points Saturday evening to lead the Tigers to their sixth-straight win, 90-74, at Blue Mountain College.</p>
</div>
<div>The Petty-Merriweather-Petty Show produced the first 11 points of the game, as Merrweather dished four of his 10 assists to Petty. Six of Merriweather&#8217;s assists led to Petty baskets, including five of Petty&#8217;s seven 3-pointers.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Petty, who was named the NAIA Player of the Week on Jan. 12, led all players with 35 points and nine rebounds. Merriweather scored a career-high 29 points to go with his 10 assists for a double-double. Petty averaged 22.7 points through three games this week, and Merriweather averaged 20.3 points and seven assists during the week.</div>

<div>Blue Mountain&#8217;s only lead of the day came on a pair of Aleksa Vujadinovic free throws on the Toppers&#8217; second possession. The Toppers kept it a two-possession game for the first 16 minutes of play until Stillman put together a 7-0 run to take an 11-point lead, 48-37, on a pair of Petty free throws. Stillman led 52-40 at the half.</div>

<div>Stillman&#8217;s largest lead was 21 points, 79-58, following a Roger Davis basket with 9:57 left in the second half.</div>

<div>Merriweather shot 60% from the floor (9-of-15), including 1-of-2 from 3-point range, and made all 10 free throw attempts. Petty &#8216;s 35 points came on 10-of-12 free throws and 56.3% shooting from the floor, including 63.6% (7-of-11) from 3-point.</div>

<div>Ladarius Carter added 10 points, followed by seven from Derrick Finklea.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Stillman out-rebounded Blue Mountain, 45-28, with nine Tiger players grabbing rebounds.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Brandon Williams added to the high-scoring night, leading Blue Mountain with 26 points. Vujadinovic finished with 13 points.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Stillman (6-0, 5-0 SSAC West) will return to continue its road swing in the Southern States Athletic Conference West Division with a trip to New Orleans next weekend, Jan. 22-23. The Tigers will play at No. 5 Loyola University for a battle for the SSAC West lead. Tip times are 7 p.m. Friday and 5 p.m. Saturday.</div>

<p><strong>BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss.</strong> &#8211; Stillman College improved to 2-2 on the road Saturday with a 53-47 win at Blue Mountain College. With the win, Stillman improves to 2-4 in Southern States Athletic Conference West action.</p>
<p>De&#8217;Asia Marsh picked up where she left off Friday, coming up with a steal and basket in the first minute to give Stillman the first points of Saturday&#8217;s game. Stillman opened the game with a 6-0 run. Blue Mountain managed to tie the game at the end of the quarter, 12-12.</p>
<p>Blue Mountain took a brief lead with 4:30 left in the first half, but Marsh scored four points in the final 75 seconds to tie the game, 23-23 at halftime. Marsh finished with 14 points on 6-of-12 shooting to lead Stillman for the second-straight night.</p>
<p>Zikira Williams, who scored 11 points, gave Stillman a 25-23 lead to open the third quarter and the Tigers maintained its lead the rest of the way. Stillman held Blue Mountain to 26.9% shooting in the second half and 29% in the game.</p>
<p>The Toppers&#8217; closest margin in the second half was, 28-27, following a Kandice Ricks free throw. Zaria Jenkins helped stretch Stillman&#8217;s lead to seven points, 39-32, at the end of the third quarter. Stillman&#8217;s largest lead of the game, 41-32, came on a Devyn Lockhart basket to open the fourth quarter.</p>
<p>Jenkins was third in scoring for Stillman with seven points, while Brittany Washington and Imani Wimbish-Gay each scored six. Jenkins led the Tigers with six rebounds.</p>
<p>Ricks finished with 17 points and eight rebounds to lead BMC, followed by Jada Taylor&#8217;s eight points and seven by Mallory Russell.</p>
<p>Stillman (2-4, 2-3 SSAC West) is next scheduled to travel to New Orleans, Jan. 22-23, for a two-game set against No. 25 Loyola University.</p>

<div><strong>BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss.</strong> &#8211; Stillman College shot a season-best 53.4% from the floor to out pace Blue Mountain College, 99-74, on the road Friday, Jan. 15. The win moves Stillman to 5-0 on the year, 4-0 in Southern States Athletic Conference West Division play. It&#8217;s the third-straight year Stillman has opened conference play 4-0.</div>

<div>The Tigers hit 39-of-73 field goals, including 44.4% from 3-point range (12-of-27). Eleven players found the basket, led by Devin Merriweather&#8217;s 19 points and six assists. E.J. Galloway and Tomias Brand each scored their season-high with 13 points apiece. Trey Petty hit three 3s as part of a 15-point night.</div>

<div>Blue Mountain took an early 10-5 lead before Galloway scored five-straight to tie the game. Four minutes later, Ladarius Carter broke a 21-21 tie with a 3-pointer to spark a 10-0 run by the Tigers. Stillman grew its lead to 25 points late in the half before entering halftime up 51-28.</div>

<div>Stillman&#8217;s largest lead of the night was 30 points, 93-63, following a David Reynolds basket with 4:15 to play, and again with 1:18 to play, 99-69.</div>

<div>Galloway recorded his first Stillman double-double with 12 rebounds to go with his 13 points. Derrick Finklea finished with nine points, Virgil Fields had eight and Carter scored seven.</div>

<div>Blue Mountain&#8217;s Brandon Williams led all players with 21 points, while Aleksa Vujadinovic was the only other Topper to score double-digits with 10 points. Luka Tejic had 11 rebounds and eight points.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Stillman (5-0, 4-0 SSAC West) will return to action against Blue Mountain again on Saturday at 5 p.m. for a Southern States Athletic Conference West Division game.</div>

<div><strong>BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss.</strong> &#8211; A trio of double-digit scorers led Stillman College to its first win of the season Friday night, 48-45, at Blue Mountain College.</div>

<div>De&#8217;Asia Marsh scored 15 to lead Stillman, while Brittany Washington hit four 3-pointers to score a dozen points. Zikira Williams added 10 points and six rebounds.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Zaria Jenkins scored on the Tigers&#8217; first possession of the game, but Blue Mountain answered with a 10-2 run to build an early lead off a pair of Kandice Ricks 3-pointers. The Toppers lead grew to as many as eight points, 15-7, in the first quarter before Stillman took over.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Wimbish-Gay scored to close the first quarter and make it a six-point game, 15-9. The basket sparked a 17-0 run by Stillman, as the Tigers shut out Blue Mountain in the second quarter. Stillman led 24-15 at halftime.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Ricks and Mackenzie Lane pulled the margin within four points, 26-22, early in the second half, but another Washington 3-pointer helped keep some distance. Wimbish-Gay later hit a 3 late in the third quarter to keep it a six-point game, 34-28, with 10 minutes to play in the game.</div>

<div>Marsh scored five-straight to open the fourth quarter, building Stillman&#8217;s lead to 11 points, 39-28. Jade Wells responded with six points for BMC. Williams proved to be the Tigers&#8217; go-to player late in the game, scoring three baskets in the final four minutes to keep Stillman in front, 45-40, with a minute left. Marsh hit a pair of free throws with 11 seconds left, Williams added one with seven seconds left to secure the win. Jada Taylor hit a 3 at the end of the game to bring Blue Mountain within three points.</div>

<div>Both teams shot between 33% and 35% from the floor and were balanced on the boards with BMC grabbing 36 rebounds to Stillman&#8217;s 35.</div>

<div>Ricks led Blue Mountain with 11 points on three 3-pointers. Lane added eight points and seven rebounds.</div>

<p><strong>BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss.</strong> &#8211; (<a href="http://www.dakstats.com/WebSync/Pages/BoxScores/BoxScores.aspx?association=10&amp;sg=WBB&amp;home=122&amp;away=17651&amp;compID=242025">Box Score</a>) The Faulkner Lady Eagles swept into Blue Mountain Tuesday night and grabbed an 85-61 win to open the SSAC schedule.</p>
<p>The Eagle offense wasn&#8217;t shy about jacking up the three-ball, hitting 10 of 30 on the night.</p>
<p>The Faulkner bench had a say in the outcome, as Reed Sutton&#8217;s Lady Eagles poured in 30 from the sideline.</p>
<p>Channing Gafford led Faulkner in the conference win with 19 points, while teammates Micala Fisanick had 12 and Olivia Colson had 10.</p>
<p>Blue Mountain&#8217;s<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>Mallory Russell<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>(JR/Ingomar, Miss.) led her team with 15 points, while<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>Olivia Chadwell<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>(JR/Loretto, Tenn.) chipped in 13 and<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>Mackenzie Lane<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>(JR/Pontotoc, Miss.) had 10.</p>
<p>Faulkner came out hot in the first half, scoring 27 in both frames and leading 54-35.</p>
<p>Blue Mountain went on to shoot 37 percent from the field on the night, while Faulkner shot 43 percent.</p>
<p>The win puts Faulkner at 3-5, 1-0 SSAC and Blue Mountain at 3-5, 0-1 SSAC.</p>
<p>The Lady Toppers get back to SSAC work Friday as they host Stillman College at 5 p.m.</p>
